Bette Wagenmaker

Get to Know Bette:

Bette Carlson Wagenmaker has known the Lord as Savior since the age of six and is so thankful for her Godly parents and solid training in a strong Bible believing church.

She has been involved in directing VBS programs, teaching Sunday School, leading women’s Bible studies, serving on ministry boards and is a trained Stephen’s Ministry leader. She is serving on a women’s retreat planning team and has served on prayer teams at these retreats and at a national women’s ministry conference. She believes the Lord has given her the ability to listen deeply to women’s heartfelt needs and loves to pray with them. Bette knows the importance of confidentially, having learned that from her parents. Preparing a weekly email prayer guide which combines Scripture, hymns, prayer needs and questions for personal prayer and meditation is a ministry which Bette is committed to at her local church.

While young, Bette taught elementary school and preschool for several years. But her heart was always drawn back to library work. At age 53 she completed her MLS degree while working full-time as a public library director and being involved in constructing a new library.

The Lord has brought Bette through many challenges, one of the most difficult being the loss of her husband Dave to cancer in 2001. She rejoices in God’s goodness in bringing her husband Al into her life in 2011. Together they are blessed with five married children and eleven grandchildren. Al and Bette love antique stores, time with family and just being together!

While Bette is new to the prayer team this year, she believes that prayer is the key to our relationship with God, and she is looking forward to meeting you in a Zoom prayer room during this year’s conference.
