Pastor Jenn is an Author, Speaker, Strength Finders Coach, and Acquisitions Editor for Abundance Books. She loves to journey with people to experience freedom in every area of their lives. She is passionate about the word of God; loves to preach it, teach it, and live it. She speaks wisdom to the struggling heart.
She has an incredible story of overcoming abuse, addiction, and self-hate. She was in and out of the Foster Care System, eventually becoming a Crown Ward of the Canadian Foster Care System. She makes her home in Southern Ontario and can’t wait to share life with you.
Jenn has been married to her amazing husband, Ken, for over thirty years. They have four incredible children, one daughter in love, and five precious grandchildren. Her favorite devotion to share is about a fork and potluck, which also happens to be her favorite meal.
Through her work as the founder of Freedom Center and her recognition as a Speak Up Certified Speaker and Christian Speakers Bootcamp Graduate, Pastor Jenn Dafoe-Turner continues to inspire individuals to step into the fullness of their potential, guided by the hand of God. She lives her life as a poured-out offering to the Lord so others can experience His grace and be validated and equipped.

Practice Before It Counts
For many attendees, the 15-minute appointments are the most exciting — and the most intimidating — part of Speak Up. Your palms sweat. Your heart races. You replay what you’re going to say a hundred times. Then, suddenly, you’re sitting across from an editor, agent, publisher, or speaker coach, wondering if you’ve forgotten everything you meant to say.
I know that feeling. At my very first Speak Up appointment, I sat down, smiled nervously, and said, “Hi, I’m Pastor Jenn. I don’t know what you can do for me, but I felt like I was supposed to meet with you.” Let’s just say… it wasn’t my finest moment. What I didn’t realize then was that confidence doesn’t magically appear when you walk into the room. Confidence is built before you ever pull out your chair.
This pre-conference workshop isn’t another lecture about appointments. It’s a laboratory — a place to practice, make mistakes, receive encouragement, coaching, and honest feedback before the appointments that matter most.
Participants will spend the majority of the session actively preparing, practicing, and refining their conversations. By the time they sit down across from an agent, they’ll have already had six conversations, six rounds of coaching, and six chances to get the nerves out.
