Get To Know Marvin

Pastor Marvin Williams serves as one of the Lead Pastors of One Church in Lansing, Michigan, the recent merging of Trinity and City Life Churches. Before becoming one of the pastors at One Church, Pastor Marvin was the Lead Pastor at Trinity Church. He served in pastoral leadership at Tabernacle Community Church, Calvary Church, and New Hope Baptist Church in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Marvin holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from Bishop College, a Master of Arts in Christian Education from Trinity International University, a Master of Arts in Biblical Studies with an emphasis in the New Testament from Cornerstone Theological Seminary, and a Doctor of Ministry from Fuller Theological Seminary. In addition to his pastoral leadership, he is a regular contributor to Our Daily Bread, where his devotionals reach readers around the world.

Family and ministry are central to Marvin’s life. He and his wife, Tonia, live in Haslett, Michigan, and together they celebrate four children, each actively engaged in gospel work: Marvin Jr., a high school Bible teacher; Micah, a church planter and pastor in Detroit, serving alongside his wife; Ashtin, a minister at One Church; and Mikayla, a missionary in California with Circuit Riders.
