Congratulations on your new full time job, Darlene.

    1. Yvonne, how kind. And I have prayed for you and trust you are well.
GOD’s twist, thank you! Blessings on you!

  2. Ahhhh……as I read your article, I sit here in tears as I just had an opportunity to share my testimony in front of a group of people. As I prayed and expected God to go before me and help me speak the words, I stumbled over some words, my mouth was dry, and I actually could not pronounce one common word…..”population”. Then at one point, I could not gather my thoughts and there was a long pause in the delivery of my testimony. Of course the people were gracious and said I did good.
After I went home and rehashed the mistakes I made, I felt almost like God abandoned me and I told God….”See, I am not cut out for this speaking stuff! I can’t even keep my thoughts together getting up front”.
God then spoke to me and said, “I never promised you that as you speak, it was going to be perfect”. This stopped me in my tracks! God then said…..”I want people to see your imperfections and your weakness”! Then He told me to share that in the class time on Sunday morning!!! Ugh…..more tears! So I am preparing myself to share that.
The bullet point you made….Let Him tap into your weaknesses……really hit me hard. So I thank you for sharing what you did as God used it to speak to me!

    1. Flo, I am so proud of you for sharing, and recognizing what God is impressing upon your heart.
Thank you and for your kind comments.

Our weaknesses are often what God wants, then we will not boast and glory in ourselves.
Vulnerability is a beautiful gift to give to our audiences.

Keep speaking, keep learning from each talk and you will grow.
We will make mistakes, the key is to learn from them and keep stepping to His Call.
If you come to Speak Up, I would love to meet you, thank you, Flo.
